Remake Policy

With Ivoclar Vivadent's Remake Policy, your laboratory will receive a 100% credit on the original case upon receipt of the original unit(s) for the reasons listed below:

  • Your laboratory received a restoration with an improper fit – Ivoclar Vivadent provided scan and design service.
  • A defective restoration is received – incomplete milling, chipped, fracture, improper sintering of zirconia.
  • Ivoclar Vivadent fabricated a unit(s) in a shade other than what was requested by the laboratory.
  • A unit(s) was milled within our recommended STL design parameters (i.e. tool compensation, cement gap) and does not fit.
  • The remake cases will be billed in full, however, a full credit will be issued to the original case if the original unit is returned to Ivoclar Vivadent within 7 business days of receipt by the laboratory for the reasons listed above and does not show signs that it has been ground, adjusted, altered, stained, glazed, crystallized (IPS e.max® CAD) or finished in any manner.
  • No credit will be given for remake cases as a result of the dentist re-prepping / new impression / new or adjusted model.
  • For the most accurate analysis of the returned restoration(s), please include the original die or email a photo of the unit(s) on the die to remake@ivoclarvivadent.com
  • Please complete and include the Return for Credit form with returned restorations.
  • Ivoclar Vivadent will provide you with a return shipping label via email.
  • A credit will be applied to your Ivoclar Vivadent account within 3 business days and a credit invoice will be sent via your normal method of invoice communication.
  • Ivoclar Vivadent reserves the right to modify its remake policy at any time in its sole discretion. Ivoclar Vivadent will make the final decision if the remake policy applies to a returned restoration.
